Vestas merges European sales units

The Danish wind turbine manufacturer has decided to merge its sales business units for Northern Europe and Central Europe. This means a farewell to Klaus Steen Mortensen, President of Vestas Northern Europe.

Statoil awards oil contracts worth billions

Oil company Statoil has awarded three contracts to three different suppliers valued at a total NOK 8 billion. One of the agreements goes to Aker Solutions, which recently landed a large contract with Maersk Drilling.

With a 250 MW order for the Indian market, Vestas has beaten its previous records in the country. This order boosts the Danish turbine manufacturer's Indian order count up to 480 MW for 2017.
